I just stopped believing in the internet. Seriously, I didn't get online hardly at all for a loooooong time. Anyways- BISHIE-CON IS IN LIKE A FRIGGIN' WEEK HOLY CRAP.

I've made like 20 new pieces of etched glass and Miss McGee has been getting prints ready and crafting up some killer geek accessories. I'm actually looking forward to this convention. I hope it's fun since the last convention (TnT- UGH. We lost so much money TT____TT) was so incredibly not good and the one before that we just simply didn't get to enjoy because of family complications.

So, cross your fingers! Here's hoping that (once again) gay makes everything better!

Do you hear that sound?

It's the silent "SQUEE" of hundreds of yaoi fan-girls (and boys!) who live in the midwest. There is now a Shounen-Ai and Yaoi convention right here in the mid-west! YAY. It is Bishie Con and THWAQ will be there with an artist table! Yes, we were on that like white on rice. If you too are a fan of the boy love and live close enough to St. Louis you should totally come.

I want to this con to make it. I want it to blow our faces of with awesome and be around a long time- and fellow yaoi fans and artists are the ones who can make that possible.

Also, Tokyo in Tulsa is next month. I hope to see some familar faces coming by our booth and I hope the convention is as awesome as it was last year.

Tokyo in Tulsa: Countdown

As you may have heard THWAQ will be at Tokyo in Tuls a 2009. The convention is now almost exactly two months away and we are getting more excited by the second (fo' reals, yo). We plan to premiere several types of new merchandise and are very much looking forward to this convention especially since last year's TnT was so enjoyable.

Heya!

So, brace yourselves, I put up new samples on the THWAQ dA! It's some photos of new glass designs that I am premiering at Naka-Kon next month. These are just samples- I'll have close to 40 pieces of glassware available for purchase. I only put up some of the more photogenic ones.

Also, an interesting side-note, since Naka-Kon is in my home town I will be able to offer at-con commissions. So, if you had played with the idea of having me make you something custom but didn't want to deal with the hassle of doing it by mail- Now's your chance! Order away!

Hard at Work

Hello you crazy con-goers!

Just a quick update to say that we are hard at work to bring you AwEsOmE swag for Naka-Kon next month. I've been working on etching glasses- I think I've got some good designs going. We've also been working on the dice-cage necklaces that we premiered at Izumi-con last fall. In other words lots of cool things are in the works for you to be able to throw your eyeballs (and your money) at.

I'll try to update our dA with some of the new junk soon.

Well, Naka-Kon grows ever nearer and we are more excited than ever! We've been working on cosplay and things to sell. It's all coming together rather well, I think. Look for updates to the THWAQ dA coming in Febuary.

Semi-Regular Update

Past: Izumi-con was... okay. A little smaller than I was anticipating and they had us in sort of a back alley corner... which was, in truth, a little annoying. We still did fairly well (all things considered) and I don't regret going- but, I doubt will be back next near. Frankly, Tokyo in Tulsa was better.

Present: YAY CHRISTMAS.

Future: We're really really really really looking forward to Naka-kon.

Hey hey, Eron here, and I have exciting news! (well, not that exciting.) Ko-kun and I have got pictures up on dA of the stuff we'll be selling at Izumi-con! Just stroll on over to THWAQ's deviantArt page and feast your eyes. I think we've got some real good stuff for this 'con and we don't have pictures of everything- just some samples.

Just to remind you: Izumi-Con is this Friday-Sunday (21-23) in Oklahoma City.

Further out we are confirmed to have a table at Naka-Kon '09.

It's Christmas in October.

Hey hey,

Things are going well for Izumi-con. We've got some good ideas- I think^^ One of the things I'm going to be doing is Christmas ornaments!! MONDO EXCITEMENT! Well, maybe not that exciting... but I do think we will have some new and exciting things for you to throw your eyeballs (and your money) at.

We just got the contract for Naka-kon and will be sending it out tomorrow... I hope to see lots of people at the 2009 convention. Naka-kon is one of my favorite cons.

Also, Nan Desu Kan over in Denver was fun. It was smaller than I expected but very enjoyable. Maybe we'll try to get a table there next year.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a wonderful fall and I'll try to get some more pictures up on the THWAD dA soon.

Izumi-con! Fo' reals, Holmes!

Well, it looks like us being at Izumi-con in November is all official and taken care of! (woot.) So, if you would like to know more about the con head to their official web-site: here. We will be posting pictures/examples of what we will be selling on THWAQ's dA (points to the link on the right) but it'll be closer to the con before we get much up... prolly like October.

As for cons farther out into the future... I don't think we are going to get a table at Ohayo-con but we'll probably still go. Then in March we will be at Naka-kon and we will have a table.

Izumi-con?

It looks like we are going to try and have a table at Izumi-con in November. I got the contract but haven't sent it in yet. Well, anyway, if you are gonna be at Izumi-con I hope to see you there!

EDIT- Also, Ryuko and I will be at Nan Desu Kan in Denver next month. We won't have a booth but we will be wandering around if you want to say hello^^

Naka-Kon 2008

Hello Gentle Reader,

I am the spokesperson for THWAQ. We are a group of loosely associated artists who travel to cons together. So far we've only been going to cons as attendees and doing cosplay. You might have met us at the following cons:

Naka-Kon 2006
A-kon 17 (2006) - as Shinigami
Ohayo-Con 2007 - the cute curly-haired Roxas was one of us
Naka-Kon 2007 - Friday we had: sleepy-time Utena and Roxas. Saturday we had girl versions of Naruto & Sasuke (after time jump) who were in the runway contest.
IzumiCon 2007 - Gwendal, Gunter, and Wolfram from Kyo Kara Maoh that were in the cosplay masque

There are four members- Eron, SanSan, Ryuko, and Ko-kun. We each do different types of things and I'll have links up for our various art sites- like Deviant Art and y!gallery. We'll use this blog to keep you up on where we've been and where we are gonna go. I hope to see you at cons!
